US- Korea Joint workshop on collaboration in SDN/NFV for Smart Cities
Project Award Date: 08-01-2014
This project proposes a workshop leading toward the establishment of a joint US-Korea research agenda, focused on exploiting software defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) in support of smart cities. The goal of this first workshop is to bring key researchers together to present ideas that will lead to a research agenda, and document them in a report that may ultimately lead to joint and cooperative actions between the US NSF and the Korean IITP (Institute for Information and Communications Technology Promotion), which is a newly formed promotion agency under the ICT-related ministry MSIP. The Korean NRF (National Research Foundation) may also participate.
